Social Registry WB Gov In Login — Step-by-Step Citizen Portal Guide

If you applied for the Annapurna Yojana through the Social Registry portal and now want to check your application or payment, the first step is logging in. The login on socialregistry.wb.gov.in works a little differently from a normal username-password login, so here is the full walkthrough.

How to log in to socialregistry.wb.gov.in

  1. Open socialregistry.wb.gov.in in your browser and click on "Access Citizen Portal".
  2. Select your district from the dropdown list.
  3. Enter your registered mobile number — the same number you used in the application — and click Send OTP.
  4. Type the OTP you receive on your phone and submit. Your application dashboard will open.

There is no password to remember. The OTP on your registered mobile number is the login, and it is mandatory — without access to that number, you cannot get in.

What you see after login

The dashboard shows your application details: the head of the family's name, your application number, the submission date, and the current status of your application. From the left-side menu you can reach the scheme services — the application form, submitted applications, the track applicant option, reverted applications, and the family application list.

OTP not coming? Read this

This is the most common login problem, and it is almost always one of these:

  • Wrong number entered. Double-check you typed the exact registered mobile number, without any extra digits.
  • The number is not active. If the SIM is deactivated or out of network coverage, the OTP will never arrive. The number must be working.
  • Network congestion. During busy hours the OTP can take a few minutes. Wait, then use the resend option instead of submitting half-typed codes repeatedly.
  • DND / SMS blocking. If promotional messages are blocked on the number, transactional OTPs usually still come through, but a full SMS block will stop them.

If the OTP still does not arrive after a reasonable wait, try again later in the day. The portal sees heavy traffic, especially around disbursement dates.

Logging in from a new phone

Changed your mobile number since applying? The portal ties your application to the registered number, so a new number will not receive the OTP. You will need to get the mobile number updated through the proper channel — typically at your BDO office (rural areas), SDO office (urban areas), or KMC office (Kolkata) — before the login will work.

A note on the two portals

West Bengal runs two related portals and people mix them up. socialregistry.wb.gov.in is where new applicants register and track applications. socialsecurity.wb.gov.in is where existing beneficiaries check payment status. If you are a new applicant, you are in the right place here.
